Octagonal Barrel Blank .50 - 815 mm - 1:48" Twist

The .50 calibre (12.7 mm) barrel blank is intended for professional gunsmithing work in the manufacture and restoration of percussion firearms. It features an octagonal exterior profile, a length of 815 mm and an external dimension of 23.70 mm.

The blank is made from St35 steel to DIN 2391C:1994 and features right-hand rifling with a 1:48" twist rate (approximately 1219 mm). Its octagonal profile reflects the traditional appearance of barrels used on historical percussion firearms and their replicas.

The 815 mm version provides a longer starting blank for projects requiring greater barrel length. Suitability for a particular application must be assessed by a gunsmith according to the requirements of the firearm.
